PARKAN CRUDES

Established by Erik Nickman in 2020 with a vision to tackle the dependence on the unsustainable feed ingredients import and growing amount of food waste.

Goal is to develop greener and cost-saving solutions not only for companies dealing with food waste but also for farmers, with competitive prices to local services and imported proteins and fertilisers.

Pioneering a Sustainable Future Through Insects

Our Vision

We believe insects will play a crucial role in future nutrition circulation.

By efficiently processing low-value materials into valuable raw feed ingredients, we create effective waste management solutions and localised production with a resilient supply chain.

We want to help retail with food waste prevention and to provide our farmers with high-performance feed materials to make their production more efficient. This will enable farmers’ products to return to retail shelves with added value and a lower carbon footprint.  However, the difference in the prices of traditional and new raw materials should not exceed their economic benefits.

This requires a careful business model development that currently remains our prime focus, ensuring the sustainability and profitability of all stakeholders.

Our Pilot

Since 2021, we have been piloting our solution in Slovakia, focusing on R&D activities for both insect feed ingredients and technical innovations in waste management. In 2024, we proudly achieved full market access to processed animal protein with TRACES certification, marking a major milestone in our journey.

This success strengthens our confidence in scaling our business model, positioning us to deliver sustainable services and products to a wider market. As we continue to develop our research, particularly in chicken farms and feed, we are preparing for the next phase of growth.

At Parkan Crudes, we’re on the verge of transforming the way waste is handled and feed is produced, but we remain grounded in our mission—to build a circular economy that benefits farmers, retailers, and the planet.
